A hairdresser has even more reasons to celebrate ten years in business after she was named as the West Midlands’ Hair Stylist of the year at the UK Hair Awards 2023. Kirsty Cameron, who owns The Courtyard Hair Salon, located at Blackminster Park, scooped the award last week. Kirsty has been delighting customers with stylish and fashionable cuts for over twenty-seven years, with some clients having come to her for twenty-four years. The business relocated during the coronavirus pandemic, as they invested in strengthening the team to expand with a growing client base.
Salon owner Kirsty said: “It is fabulous to have been named Stylist of the year in the region as I know there are so many amazing stylists in the area. It shows if you work hard you can be recognised for it. Having been a finalist in two other competitions last year, it is a fantastic achievement to win this year. I am lucky that my clients trust me with my suggestions of new styles and colours. Since moving to our purpose-built salon at Blackminster Park, we haven’t looked back. We have new clients joining us regularly and with our out-of-town location which has free parking, our salon is really convenient for our customers. After the difficult time we faced with two separate lockdowns stopping our original opening plans, winning a national award to coincide with our ten-year anniversary is something I could never have dreamed of. Here’s to the next ten years.’’
