Founded in 2014 by Jessica Blyth-Sweetingham, Talking Tortoise has evolved from its roots in marketing for large blue-chip industry giants to become a powerhouse in the world of marketing and PR in the tourism and leisure industry. The winds of change swept through our sails following the coronavirus pandemic where husband and wife team Jessica and Martin immersed themselves in their passion for the industry. Our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and we are excited to share it with you.
A pivotal moment in our story came in June 2023 when, amidst the joyous arrival of newborn Elizabeth, we moved our headquarters to Long Barn Village in Alcester. The quaint town of Alcester became not just our base but a community we proudly call home.
From our Alcester office, we coordinate impactful marketing campaigns for high-profile tourist attractions, securing coverage on esteemed global news outlets, from BBC and ITV to CNN (USA) and SATV (South Africa).Β
At the heart of Talking Tortoise lies a commitment to the local community. Alongside local business leaders we have been instrumental in establishing the local networking event The Alcester Business Club. Our community commitment is extended by charitable endeavours such as when we proudly secured funding for a Lego Education Day at a local school, bringing joy and education to Year 1 children. We also actively champion small businesses, offering various training and donating office space for community first aid training days.Β
Talking Tortoise stands tall as a small business with a team of six dedicated individuals. We provide direct and impactful efforts, fostering close-knit relationships internally, with our community and with our clients.
